When Food Alone Isn’t Enough

Ideally, nutritional needs are met from food first, since nutrients in their “natural habitat” generally offer:

- More balanced intake

- Better absorption

- Less risk for adverse reactions

However, there absolutely is an appropriateness for supplements when the need for a certain nutrient is either too great or too difficult to get from food alone.

Anea Protein is a concentrated and convenient way to help you
meet your daily protein goals. Bonus: It's Egg White Protein, which contains all nine essential amino acids, is also highly absorbable for easy digestion.

How to Determine How Much Protein You Need

If you do an online search for information related to protein goals, you’ll likely get a variety of different answers. And for good reason – everyone has slightly different needs based on their age, sex, weight and activity level.

The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for protein is 0.8 grams per kg of body weight (or about 0.36 grams per pound). You may also see this reflected as a percentage of your daily calories, ranging anywhere from 10-35%.

Many people get sufficient protein through a normal diet. However, if you are recovering from an illness or injury, are managing a certain medical condition like cancer, or trying to maintain or build muscle mass, your protein needs may be greater than your typical meals and snacks provide.

The Convenience of Anea Protein

When you need a boost to reach your protein goals, that’s the time for a protein shake!

A typical snack (string cheese, trail mix, peanut butter) may contain about eight grams of protein per serving. Anea Protein provides three times that at 24-25 grams per serving (about the same as a standard 3-oz portion of meat or a cup and a half of beans, but without the volume, which is helpful if you lack an appetite).

Add Anea Protein to your favorite milk for a protein-packed
shake, which is great for:

- Breakfast (Especially if you usually don’t feel like eating something solid right away in the morning.) You can even try mixing it in your iced coffee. (Just be sure not to use hot coffee to maintain the protein structure!)

- A post-workout recovery drink on the way home from the gym.

- An afternoon snack or pick-me-up.

You can also play around with adding Anea Protein to recipes to enhance the protein content of pancakes, waffles, energy bites and more!
